Todd Mansur, now a valued member of the McCarty Yacht Group team, was born and raised amidst the waters of Dana Point, and his deep connection to the Orange County fishing industry has remained unwavering. As the son of a seasoned fisherman, Todd's formative years were spent absorbing the intricacies of the sea, laboring as a dedicated deckhand and crew member aboard various charter vessels in both San Diego and Dana Point. In the year 1987, at the tender age of 21, Captain Todd Mansur accomplished the attainment of his 100-ton merchant marine operator's license. Shortly thereafter, he embarked on his journey as a charter boat owner with the acquisition of his inaugural vessel, the Cypselurus. In 1992, Mike Hansen, the President of Dana Wharf, entrusted Captain Todd with the operation of one of their principal landing boats, the Sum Fun. During his tenure at the helm of the Sum Fun, Captain Todd solidified his status as a premier Captain, overseeing fishing charters and captivating whale-watching cruises. In 1997, Captain Todd assumed command of the Captain Hook fleet, owned by Barton Boyd, the CEO of consumer products at Walt Disney. Under Captain Todd's skilled guidance, the Captain Hook fleet triumphed in numerous Marlin Fishing Tournaments, affording him the opportunity to explore the waters stretching from California to Costa Rica. In 2003, Captain Todd embarked on a new venture, steering his swordfish boat from Dana Point's Commercial Docks, swiftly establishing it as one of California's top-performing vessels in the pursuit of swordfish. In 2005, Jim Peterson and Ralph Brandi of Micro semi Corp acquired the Boardroom and identified Captain Todd as their ideal partner. Captain Todd played a pivotal role in procuring the 65-foot Hatteras, which he continues to operate for private charters to this day. Captain Todd's remarkable achievements extend far beyond the seas. He has been featured in numerous publications, made countless television appearances, earned recognition as an award-winning filmmaker, and has been the subject of interviews in newspapers and magazines across the nation. His commitment to education is unwavering, as he continues to deliver enlightening speeches and stands as a founding member of the Gray Whale Foundation. Presently, Captain Todd Mansur remains at the helm, overseeing the Boardroom and the landing boats for Dana Wharf Sport fishing, while bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to the McCarty Yacht Group where he will transition into Yacht Sales.
