About Shane
Shane Mansur, born and raised in Dana Point, CA, is a third-generation captain whose life has revolved around the ocean. Practically raised on the water, he took his first trip to Catalina at just six months old, and by age 11, he was already exploring Baja aboard his father’s sportfishing yachts. These early experiences laid a foundation for a lifelong career marked by deep industry knowledge and passion.

Growing up around his grandfather’s fish market in Dana Point Harbor and working on local commercial sport boats and yachts, Shane was steeped in the maritime world from a young age. His career has spanned an impressive range of roles—from working on commercial harpoon swordfish boats to fishing on private yachts and securing wins in prestigious marlin tournaments along the West Coast. As a captain with a wealth of experience, he has also managed multi-yacht operations, demonstrating his extensive understanding of both the technical and operational sides of yachting.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Shane currently serves as Captain and Operations Manager for a private fleet that includes an 80-foot Bertram sport fisher and a 53-foot HCB Suenos. He is also a partner in his father’s yacht management and repair company, enhancing his ability to offer clients a complete suite of services. Shane's collaborative approach and dedication to teamwork have made him an invaluable asset at McCarty Yacht Group, where he also excels as a skilled salesman. His deep industry knowledge, combined with his positive attitude and keen sense of client needs, make him a trusted advisor in yacht sales and service.

Personally, Shane resides in Dana Point with his wife—his high school sweetheart—and their two children. Known for his honor, integrity, and commitment to excellence, Shane’s passion for the sea and dedication to his clients shine through in every interaction.
